Taking responsibility for the legacy we create

Most
humans
spend
over
85%
of
their
time
in
buildings.
We
know
that
as
part
of
natural
ecosystems,
human
beings
are
less
stressed
in
natural
environments.
We
are
also
social
creatures.
Most
buildings
will
last
between
50
and
500
years.

At
Urban
Input,
we
are
creators
and
curators
of
the
built
environment.

Our
teams
are
therefore
aware
of
this
legacy
and
think
of
what
we
design
and
do
in
these
terms.
We
think
about
not
only
improving
the
financial
capital
of
a
project,
but
instead
building
in
long-term
resilience.
We
work
on
the
most
efficient
use
of
resources.
We
celebrate
the
uniqueness
of
each
project
and
location,
and
do
not
therefore
apply
a
“one
size
fits
all”
solution
to
sustainability.

The
people
and
communities
we
touch
and
influence
with
our
projects
throughout
their
life
cycle
are
many.
We
make
an
effort
to
identify
them
and
think
about
their
needs
and
what
might
be
beneficial
or
of
discomfort
to
them
when
we
come
into
a
project.
By
creating
links
and
empathy
with
our
projects
and
occupiers,
we
ensure
longer
term
resilence
and
value.

We
certify
our
projects
of
course,
but
are
aware
that
certifications
are
evolving
and
should
not
drive
our
sustainability
initiatives,
but
validate
them.

We
express
ourselves
through
our
projects,
which
is
where
we
can
have
most
impact
and
agency.
That
said,
our
company
culture
is
what
holds
and
trains
our
teams
to
achieve
this.

We
are
on
a
journey
and
learning
as
we
go.
